CHOW YEW KHONG EDWARD | 邹友康

Edward was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in October 2018.

Prior to that, Edward has completed his pupillage at Messrs. Cheow Wee & Mai under the tutelage of his pupil-master Mr. Cheow Wee. During his pupillage, he was involved in several high profile criminal matters related to white-collar crime and penal code crime.

After his admission as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya, Edward joined Messrs. Gazel Chen & Partners as a legal assistant, with the main portfolio in civil and construction dispute resolution. He frequently appeared in the Court of Appeal, High Court and the lower courts to conduct hearing and trial.

Edward also has experience in construction arbitration and adjudication (CIPAA 2012). In a recent CIPAA adjudication, Edward successfully obtained an award of more than RM 17 million for a sub-contractor client. In a separate matter, he also successfully resisted the setting-aside application by the losing party in a CIPAA adjudication and managed to obtain an order to enforce the adjudication award.

Apart from dispute resolution, Edward also has experience in corporate, conveyancing, estate administration and family matters.

Pursuant to his ideal for law and legal practice, Edward founded Messrs. YK Chow Law Chambers in July 2021. He is dedicated to providing excellent and professional legal service to his clients.
